Innovations and Security in Europe's Maritime Future

Navigating innovation and security to define Europe’s next maritime era

The EU Forum Innovations and Security in the Maritime Future brings together policymakers, researchers, innovators, and security experts to explore how Europe’s maritime domain is being reshaped by rapid technological change, sustainability imperatives, and evolving security challenges.

At a time of profound global transformations and transitions, the maritime sector stands at the crossroads of innovation, green energy development, and international security. This forum creates a unique space for dialogue that connects the future of innovation with maritime sustainability, clean energy solutions, and strategic security considerations, all within the broader context of Europe’s role in the world.

Through keynote lectures, high-level panels, and expert debates, participants will gain forward-looking insights into the future of the maritime sector, including forecasts of technological developments, research and innovation in hydrogen and clean energy, and the implications of maritime security for international relations. The presence of leading academics, diplomats, and innovation leaders underscores the forum’s ambition to bridge knowledge, policy, and practice.

By fostering interdisciplinary exchange and networking, the forum aims not only to reflect on current challenges, but also to contribute to shaping resilient, innovative, and secure maritime pathways for Europe’s future.
